Students get involved in local community with Christmas Festivities

Students from our plumbing, joinery and childcare courses were up at Farset Hotel – Hotel for the Homeless. We have been working with them on lots of different projects as part of our life skills course. Today our students were serving up Christmas dinner to the elderly from neighbouring care homes at Farset Hotel.
Our plumbing students got into the Christmas Spirit making Christmas Trees out of copper piping. They mad some for PTS plumbing supplies, USDT and Farset hotel for the homeless. They
also made a large one which is displayed in the foyer of our building.
Our catering department were out doing their local community work at MUMO ‘Moving Up Moving On’ Project They catered a Christmas dinner yesterday for older people in our community – 25 people attended from the tea dancers, art group, exercise classes and bereavement group. Our catering department prepared, cooked and served the food. Amazing lunch – soup starter, full Christmas dinner and apple crumble and custard for pudding.
MUMO staff and volunteers were as essential as ever, setting the room up beautifully – the attention to detail was outstanding – helping throughout the lunch and clearing up afterwards.
