Whiterock Children`s Centre Christmas Appeal Donations

Our staff and learners have been doing lots of different activities to raise funds for the Whiterock Children`s Centre. Our Construction department made crafts from copper piping and wood. Our childcare learners helped paint and decorate the gifts which were sold at local Christmas Markets with funds raised going to the Whiterock Children’s Centre.

Our staff have bought gifts and donated money for the Whiterock Children`s centre Christmas appeal to help as many young children receive a gift for Christmas.

Our Hair and beauty learners performed treatments on both staff and the public and all donations from this also went to the Whiterock Children`s Centre.

An impressive £500 was raised, some of our handmade crafts were also donated as well as donated gifts from staff were delivered to the centre last week.

A huge thank you to all of our staff and learners who took part in this initiative, donating their time, their skills, donations and gifts. It is great seeing everyone working together in Springvale to give a little back to our local community at a time of year which can be hard for families in our local community.

Deidre Walsh the Centre Director commented “I nearly dropped when i opened that envelope, that is so generous of you all. It will make such a difference to so many lives”.
Springvale is more than a college, it is a place where our kids feel safe, where they can get the support they need, can ask for help, can explore what type of a career they want, help give back and support in the local community.

This helps our kids to learn many life skills, they learn how they can help and support others in need and leave us very rounded young people who we are proud to say were our Learners.
Merry Christmas everyone and Happy New Year.
