| Description: | Bricklayers build the interior and exterior walls of buildings. This may involve constructing new buildings or repairing and maintaining existing ones. Bricklayers use a variety of tools and materials. |
| Personal Qualities: | Bricklayers need to have good hand skills, to be physically fit, able to bend stretch and lift, to work alone or in a team, with a head for heights, the ability to follow written plans and instructions, to be neat, accurate, with an eye for visual effect and some Maths skills. |
| Timescale: | 3 days (21 hours) off the job when not in placement. 3 days (21 hours) off the job plus 1 further day when in placement. |
